New Patients

Every new patient we see starts with a new patient consultation. This gives both you and us time to assess your dental requirements. We will ask you some questions about your dental and general health and give you the opportunity to explain to us any areas of your dental health that may be of concern to you.

As you would expect we will take a look inside your mouth and carry out an initial inspection of your teeth and gums. If necessary, we can use a very small intra-oral camera to show you a live feed from the inside of your mouth, on a screen that is mounted on the ceiling of the surgery. This allows your dentist to give you a clear picture of any areas they are concerned about and offers you a visual reference to any problems.

Following the consultation your dentist will sit down with you and discuss the consultation and make some recommendations. You are not obliged to have any further treatment from us and can decide in your own time the treatment you would like to proceed with.

If it has been a while since you visited the dentist don’t worry as you are not the first. We are more concerned with getting your dental care back on track, rather than what has happened in the past so don’t expect a lecture from us.

Finally, if you are nervous about visiting the dentist there is no need to be. The initial patient consultation is designed to give you time to get comfortable with us as a practice and the dentist you will be visiting. So relax, and let us show you how we do things differently.
